This is a rundown of all the things you need to know before
you sign with the NAWF. The rules are very important because they
are enforced. "I didn't know" is not an acceptable
excuse if the rules are printed here. The rules are divided up
into categories.
Wrestlers
The most important part of this game is obviously your wrestler.
There are some rules you need to follow when creating your
wrestler.
Only original wrestlers will be accepted. Let me explain
"originality." No copying real wrestlers. You cannot
submit a wrestler named Stone Cold Brandon Smith or anything like
that. Also if he Canadian Nationalist with a great family history
of wrestling and a catch phrase proclaiming himself as the best
there is, was and ever will be... he is not okay. Every wrestler
will have some characteristic that seems familiar, I understand
that. Just because he thinks he is handsome doesn't mean he is
Shawn Michaels, Ric Flair or Rick Rude. Just because he loves
Canada doesn't make him Bret Hart. Just because he is silent
doesn't make him Arn Anderson, Chris Benoit or Bill Goldberg. Use
your better judgment and see if he is original. We will not
hesitate to deny your app and if it is a blatant rip-off we will
not even address you.
Look at our roster to see if your name is taken. We will not
except two people named Slugger or anything like that. Know if
two people have the nickname the same like Cruel Jed Blanks and
Joey Cruel Lane then that is ok. If this does happen then what we
will do is have a match between the two wrestlers to see who gets
to keep the name.
Read the rules to see if your wrestler is allowed. We will not
accept pimps, drug dealers, cop killers, Nazis, KKK members,
Black Panthers or serial rapists. You may not find a problem with
them, but we do. And make sure your guy isn't too extreme.
Someone in constantly makes references towards his manhood is
probably too over the top.
Do not rip-off another aspect of society. We don't want to see
Puff Daddy, Godzilla, or the characters form Southpark. Certainly
parodies of society are fine. You want to do a rapper, go for it.
Just don't make him Snoop Doggy Dogg. You want to have a vampire
type guy, go for it, but no Count Dracula.
Realism. Make sure he is realistic. No demons from hell. No dead
guys. No one who can magically appear in the ring in a circle of
flame. If you want to do some cute entrance or such you must
explain to the card writer how it is done. If you want to say
"I am from Hell." that's fine, but we know he isn't.
Step Two: Roleplaying
This is one of the biggest parts of the game. Roleplaying is how
you win. You role-play on the messageboard. There are certain
rules of conduct that you should follow when posting.
Its Quality, not Quantity
One good role-play on Monday and no word for the rest of the week
may result in a loss on Saturday if the other guy puts up a good
show.
Role-play consistently. I like to see at least two a week. One a
week is required. If I don't see you for 14 days you will be
warned and jobbed or fired. The longer you are gone, the worse
you are buried. If you look you will see that most of the
competitors role-play at a surprising consistency.
You may NOT use another character without the permission of the
character's handler. If I receive a complaint I will look into
it. If you want to use a jobber, contact me. You may use
interviewers, provided you stay within their characters. Look
below for details. You may not use my character or the
characters of any NAWF employees at all.
NO racially or sexually demeaning comments. There are certain
comments that I will not tolerate and will punish immediately. If
I get a complaint from someone I will deal with it privately with
the concerned parties.
Dont curse to much on the role-play board. You can say tv
cusswords. But if you say anything other than that censor it.
like s--- and f*ck. Dont get carried away with cussing
though. If you cuss to much you will be suspended.
Step Three: Challenges
You are going to need to challenge someone before you can
wrestle. Under most circumstances I will not force a match. You
may be scheduled for a match if you are involved with a title,
tournament or feud. Otherwise, it is your responsibility. Go to
the board and start challenging people. There are four ways a
match is booked. 1) Someone on the NAWF decides that the match
must take place. 2) The NAWF staff sees it on the board. 3) You
email the NAWF staff about it. 4) You fill out a challenge
application. There will be a limit as to how many matches make it
to a card. The reason for this is we have to write it and we
can't write a dozen matches for every card. If you challenge a
man who is Missing in action I will judge whether he has been
missing too long. If he has I will give you the match. If I set
up a match and you do not want in, let me know. I may or may not
pull you out of it, depending on the situation and your reasons.
Step four: Cards
There is one weekly card and a card every other week in the NAWF.
This will chnage as the competiton grows. The cards are booked by
Pres. Lyle Gordon VP jason Moskowitz .the head bookers write the
weekly card and Lyle Gordon writes the other. Each card will have
a match limit.
Tuesday Night Terror- This is the premier card and will
have good matches and will have longer and better results. This
one happens every week
Saturday Carnage- This is a good card but has not as long
match results. It happens every other week.
PPV- This has the best matches and the best results.
Usually all titles are defended here. This is held once a month.
Sometimes there will be a house show where only the results are
given and other things along that line.
Step five: Battleplans/Strategies
Its a lot less difficult than you think. I ask for a battleplan
before each match. If you do not send it in you will not be
penalized in any way. What will happen is your character will be
put under our control for the match. He will hold true to his
character but we will completely decide his actions. The
battleplan need not be lengthy. We just want to know what you
have in mind. The deadline for strategies for Tuesday Night
Terror is 8:00 PM, Eastern Standard Time of the night
before. For Saturday the deadline is 8:00 PM, Eastern Standard
Time of the night before. Just give us an idea of how you
want to go about in your match.
Step Five: Interfering In a Match
This is very simple. Just fill out the Interfere In A Match form.
We may or may not use it depending on the angles and other things
like that.
Step Six: Championships
In most cases championship defenses are up to the champ. If he is
not doing a good job of defending we may force him into a match.
There are no limits on how many titles you can hold at one time.
These are the championships and their requirements:
World Heavyweight Title:
1) Challengers must be in Top 5 ofsingles competition. Exceptions
will be made.
2) Must be defended twice a month and usually at the monthly ppv.
If he doesnt defend he will be forced into a match.
Intercontinental Title:
1) Challengers must be in Top 10of singles competition.
Exceptions will be made.
2) Must be defended three times a month and usually at the
monthly ppv. If he doesnt defend he will be forced into a
match.
T.V. Title:
1)Anyone may challenge for this belt.
2)Champ must defend the belt once a week and at the monthly ppv.
If he doesnt defend he will be forced into a match.
Tag Team Titles
1) Must be in top 5 in tag team competition to challenge for this
belt.
2) BOTH members must roleplay. If one member has slacked off I
will offer the other member a chance to pick a new partner. If he
does not pick a new partner within the allotted time he will be
stripped.
Step Seven: Interviewers and Announcers
Interviewers may be used in roleplays but announcers may not.
When you use the interviewers all they do is interview they
dont have dates with you or fight you. When you use them
make them stay in character.
Step Eight: Complaints and Criticism
This fed is all of ours and your feedback is appreciated. If you
feel you are being treated unfairly, have a complaint towards
another competitor or have some criticism feel free to send it to
me. The one thing I ask is that you show some respect and not
totally flame me without reason. I will address your complaints.
if I do not you are free to flame me. I do not want the board
being used to complain unless I am not responding. If you attack
me, the fed or anyone else on the board you will be punished.
That is of course if I do not treat you with respect and respond.
If I don't trash me all you want.
Step Nine: Penalties
If you break the rules that are set you will face penalties. A
penalty may be a suspension, fine, dismissal, or a drop in
rankings.
A few reasons for penalty:
1)Excessive cursing
2)Excessive attacks on competitors.
3)Use of another character without permission
4)Lack of roleplaying
5)Illegal actions by your wrestler. (Ex: murder, drug use,
robbery, assault, kidnapping, etc.)
Thats it for now but more may be added later so check back
often.
